STILES: Is Doug Ford making multi-billion dollar policy decision based on his friends’ phone calls? Latest Highway 413 revelation raises serious questions

QUEEN’S PARK – Ontario NDP Leader Marit Stiles released the following statement in response to the Global News story about the Premier’s personal consideration to re-route Highway 413 to accommodate the requests of a developer and insider:

“Farmers fighting to save their land get ignored. Communities calling for real infrastructure investments are brushed aside. But when a well-connected friend asks, the Premier is ready to move mountains – or highways.

“This latest revelation raises serious questions about the motivations behind this government’s multi-billion dollar decisions. Ontarians deserve to know if the Premier is wasting their hard-earned tax dollars on developer favours and pet projects.

“Is he working for the people or for his insiders?”
